a vacuum to warm the affected area and draw new blood and Qi (“vital energy”)
into the affected area, thereby improving the condition and the person’s
circulation.
Moxibustion is a heat treatment which is used when appropriate.

It involves careful monitoring of food and drink intake in order to eliminate disease and speed recovery. The patient is advised regarding the type of food eaten, the time and manner in which it is eaten, or the manner in which it is prepared, in order to promote cure and enhance health
Acupuncture has been treating infertility for over 2000 years and has recently been gaining acceptance in the west as a valuable method of restoring reproductive health. Because of its ability to relieve stress, regulate hormone levels and influence the menstrual cycle and ovulation, acupuncture is the treatment of choice for “unexplained infertility”.
Acupuncture & Chinese medicine can be used as a stand alone treatment or as an adjunct to western medicine and IUI/IVF treatment. Many conditions benefit from using both methods at the same time. Acupuncture is not a quick fix and treatment should last a minimum of 3 months, but the benefits are great and the changes are gradual.

In a healthy pregnancy, women who want to avail of the benefits of acupuncture should have weekly treatments up to week 12, monthly treatments from week 13 to week 36 and then weekly treatments from week 37 to 40 to prepare for childbirth.
